WhatsApp campaign analytics show what happened to your broadcasts: how many messages were sent, delivered, read, and failed, which campaigns did best, and why some messages did not arrive. In Inaiy, click Analytics and stay on the Campaigns tab for totals across all campaigns, or open one campaign from Campaigns to see its timeline and each recipient's status. Filter by campaign, template, team, or date, and export reports as CSV, Excel, or PDF.
Use it after every send to catch failures early, and monthly to see which templates customers actually read.
Who this is for and what you need first
This guide is for marketers and managers who report on WhatsApp campaigns.
You need:
- At least one campaign that has started sending. See WhatsApp broadcast campaign.
- Permission to view campaign reports. Exporting needs report export permission.
Steps to read WhatsApp campaign analytics
1. Open the Campaigns tab
Click Analytics under Messaging, then Campaigns. The Inbox tab covers one-to-one chats instead.
The Volume row counts every recipient across your campaigns: Total recipients, Queued, Processing, Sent, Delivered, Read, Failed, and Retries.
2. Check the rates and highlights
Under Rates (callout 1):
- Delivery rate: delivered as a share of sent.
- Read rate: read as a share of delivered.
- Success rate and Failure rate: how many recipients were processed without or with an error.
Timing shows Execution duration and Avg processing time. Below, four cards pick out the Top performer, the campaign that Needs attention (callout 2) because of failures, the Most engaging campaign by read rate, and the Busiest day.
3. Compare campaigns and trends
Scroll down for the Delivery engagement funnel from sent to delivered to read, then Delivery Breakdown and the Daily Campaign Trend (callout 1), which plots campaigns, sent, and failed by day.
The Campaign Performance table lists each campaign with its template, status, audience, sent, delivered, read, failed, success, Read rate (callout 2), completion, and start time. Click a column to sort, or search by name.
4. Filter and export a report
Click the filter icon. Narrow the numbers by Campaign (callout 1), Status, Template, Created by, Owner team, Queue, Label, or a date range. Quick range sets Today, Last 7 days, or Last 30 days. Clear all resets the filters.
To export, pick one campaign in the filters, then click Export (callout 2). Choose a report, such as Campaign Summary, Recipient Report, Failure Report, Delivery Report, Read Report, or Retry Report, and a format: CSV, Excel (.xlsx), or PDF (summary only).
5. Open one campaign for detail
Go to Campaigns and click a campaign. Its page shows Overview, a Summary with total, processed, queued, sending, sent, failed, cancelled, and pending counts, Live progress while it sends, and the Execution timeline (callout 2) from created to completed.
Scroll down to Recipient progress for each person's status, and Failure summary for the failure reasons. Click Analytics (callout 1) to jump to the analytics view for this campaign.
How to confirm it worked
- Send a small campaign to yourself and a colleague.
- Open the message on your phone. Within a minute, the campaign's Read count should go up.
- Compare the campaign's Sent count in the analytics table with the Summary on its details page. They should match.
Common mistakes
- Treating read rate as exact. Customers who turn off read receipts in WhatsApp never report a read, so the true read rate is usually higher than shown.
- Ignoring failures. A failure rate above a few percent usually means bad numbers, people not on WhatsApp, or a template problem. Check the Failure summary, fix the cause, then use Retry Failed.
- Exporting without a campaign selected. Export works on one campaign at a time. Pick it in the Campaign filter first.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good read rate for WhatsApp campaigns?
WhatsApp messages are usually read far more often than emails, and many businesses see most delivered messages read within a day. Your own past campaigns are the best benchmark. Compare read rates by template in the performance table, and rewrite or retire templates that fall well below your average.
Why did some campaign messages fail?
Common reasons are numbers that are not on WhatsApp, invalid or badly formatted numbers, customers who blocked your business, a template that was paused or disabled by Meta, and reaching your daily messaging limit. Open the campaign and check the Failure summary, which groups failures by reason and code.
Can I retry failed messages?
Yes. On the campaign's page, Retry Failed shows how many failed recipients can be retried and sends to them again. Fix the cause first, for example by waiting for your daily limit to reset. The Retries count in analytics and the Retry Report show what happened on each retry.
